This month’s Space Cascade and Network session was a truly special one, as we hosted an extended gathering to welcome some distinguished guests.
Thanks to the Smart & Scale (S&S) programme, delivered by Durham University Business School, we were privileged to welcome Dr Andrew Aldrin.
Andy is the President of the Aldrin Family Foundation and serves as Programme Coordinator for the Masters in Space Operations at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide.
Dr Aldrin captivated the audience with his thought-provoking talk titled: "SATCOM: Don’t Miss the Forest for the Tree", offering unique insights into satellite communications and their broader implications.
Building on the momentum of the Space North Resilient Communications report, launched in July, we also welcomed speakers from four leading northern companies to share their experiences and success stories in the Space sector.
Representatives from Slipstream Design, MPG, Viper RF, and Filtronic inspired a packed room with their innovative journeys and contributions to the industry.
The event was a fantastic opportunity to connect, learn, and celebrate the thriving Space sector in the North.
